This six-bedroom cottage is a central gathering place for the large family! Enter through the lobby and take in the expansive view of Lake Simcoe from the large picture windows. Look up and admire the header beams, installed to make the kitchen, dining room and living room open plan, and to ensure you can see the lake from anywhere in this space.

In the kitchen, the giant island takes pride of place, and the homey feeling is added to by the brick backsplash, which was added by the owner.

In the living room, there’s a sliding door to the upper deck, with glass panels to ensure the view is unobstructed. Some windows have been replaced on this floor, and plantation shutters were also installed by the owner. Three spacious bedrooms and a three-piece bathroom come off a long hallway. One of the bedrooms has impressive cupboards designed and built where the owner’s son works.

Take the new stairway of engineered hardwood down to the basement, where you’ll find a delightful family room with built-ins, usually given over to the kids. There are another two good-sized bedrooms down here, one a kid’s room with bunk beds and two queens to maximize guest count! The other bedroom has a walkout to the garden.
